Twelve

Twelve sounds wonderfully close to being a teenager. Actually being twelve is another matter. Winnie has junior high, changing friendships, and changes to her own body to figure out. There are pierced ears and sleepaway camp to consider, too. She wants to be ready for all of it. Bra shopping with her mother, in public, may put that readiness to the test.
